About the team
Fund Operations is a global team of 30 broadly split into 5 sub teams, all sharing the same core responsibility of oversight and facilitation of transfer agent activities and supporting clients who invest in Ninety One Fund Ranges.
The purpose of this role is to support, plan and implement Fund Operations business change projects relating to global Ninety One fund ranges, and any market or regulatory changes impacting the product range. Projects include updates to product ranges and improvements to reduce risk, enhance systems and business processes, better client experience, and meeting regulatory requirements.
In this role you will:
- Identify, gather, analyse, and document business requirements and translate these into high level specifications
- Communicate project progress, issues, and risks effectively and timeously to the project manager and stakeholders
- Ensure project documentation is kept up to date and is appropriately stored
- Evaluate projects at completion, including reviewing issues and learnings with stakeholders
- Consider project impact on forms, the web and client communication
- Link business change projects to BAU activities and long-term strategic plans
- Co-ordinate and respond to testing requirements of systems/processes
- Ensure sufficient business training, communications, and business handovers to end users
- Conduct data analysis to investigate ongoing/ad hoc operational issues
- Define/review business rules and guide the implementation of them in the development of the various application systems
- Represent the Fund Operations business unit at internal and external forums
- Manage relationships and communication with third party service providers, including transfer agents
- Advise the business on proposals for change considering the impact on BAU operational processes and client interests and experience
- Assist the Fund Operations team with ad hoc tasks/projects as required
You should consider applying if you have:
- 5+ years Industry and project management/business analysis experience preferred (Asset Management experience would be an advantage)
- Proficiency in data analysis tools, for example, excel, SQL, python etc.
- Strong quantitative skills and the ability to interpret complex financial data
- A methodical and detail-oriented approach to work
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner
