We are looking for an experienced

Senior Project Manager to join a Financial Services organisation on a 6-month contract, leading complex infrastructure and application migration initiatives.

The successful candidate will have a strong infrastructure background and proven experience delivering large-scale technology projects within complex, enterprise environments.

This is a hands‑on delivery role requiring someone who can manage multiple technical workstreams, senior stakeholders and third‑party suppliers through to successful implementation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end infrastructure and application migration projects from planning through to implementation, cutover, hypercare and BAU transition.
  • Manage complex migration activities across application discovery, dependency mapping, rationalisation, rehosting and replatforming.
  • Lead datacentre exit and infrastructure transformation initiatives.
  • Coordinate technical workstreams across Infrastructure, Architecture, Engineering, Security, Operations and Application teams.
  • Manage project governance, RAID, dependencies, milestones, budgets and reporting.
  • Manage third-party suppliers, system integrators and technology partners.
  • Plan and execute complex production cutovers with minimal business disruption.
  • Ensure operational readiness, resilience and successful transition into BAU.
  • Provide clear communication and reporting to senior stakeholders and programme leadership.

Experience Required

  • Proven experience as a

Senior Project Manager delivering complex infrastructure and technology projects.

  • Strong infrastructure transformation and migration experience.
  • Strong understanding of virtualisation technologies, particularly

VMware / v Sphere , with exposure to technologies such as NSX, v SAN, Citrix, Hyper‑V or Nutanix.

  • Experience with cloud and hybrid infrastructure environments , including Azure, AWS or GCP.
  • Experience of datacentre migrations / datacentre exit .
  • Experience managing production cutovers within

24x7 business‑critical environments .

  • Strong stakeholder and supplier management skills.
  • Experience working within

Financial Services, Banking, Insurance or another highly regulated environment is essential .
