We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong networking background to lead and deliver network security and connectivity transformation projects, with a particular focus on Zscaler implementations and migrations. This role requires a blend of technical depth, delivery leadership, and product ownership, working closely with network engineering, security, vendors, and business stakeholders to drive successful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of network and security projects, including Zscaler (ZIA, ZPA, ZDX) deployments, migrations, and enhancements.
- Own project scope, timelines, dependencies, risks, and budgets across multiple concurrent initiatives.
- Manage delivery using Agile, hybrid, or waterfall methodologies as appropriate.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration between Network, Security, Infrastructure, Cloud, and Application teams.
- Ensure projects meet security, compliance, and business requirements.
Product Ownership & Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as Product Owner for Zscaler-related platforms and services.
- Define and maintain product roadmaps, backlogs, and priorities aligned with business goals.
- Translate high-level business needs into clear technical requirements and user stories.
- Balance feature delivery, technical debt, and operational stability.
- Engage with vendors (Zscaler, ISPs, MSPs) to manage dependencies, upgrades, and roadmap alignment.
Networking & Security Focus
- Provide strong domain leadership across enterprise networking and security architectures, including Secure Web Gateway (SWG), Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA), VPN replacement strategies, and identity-aware access and policy-based routing.
- Understand and guide designs involving LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, DNS, firewalls, proxies, and cloud networking.
- Support integration with IdP platforms (Azure AD / Entra ID, Okta), endpoint solutions, and cloud environments.
- Identify and actively manage project risks, dependencies, and change impacts.
- Produce and maintain project documentation, plans, and status reporting.
- Communicate effectively with senior stakeholders, including security leadership and business owners.
- Ensure smooth handover into operations and support teams.
Required Experience & Skills
- Proven experience as a Project Manager delivering network and security transformation projects.
- Strong networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewalls, proxies, VPNs).
- Demonstrated Product Owner experience, including backlog ownership and roadmap management.
- Experience working in enterprise-scale or regulated environments.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience with Zero Trust architectures and VPN replacement programs.
- Exposure to cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Agile certifications (PSPO, SAFe PO/PM, Scrum Product Owner).
- Project management certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, AgilePM).
- Prior experience working with security vendors and MSPs.
