We are looking for an experienced Azure Cloud Security Consultant to support the design, validation, and continuous improvement of cloud security controls across enterprise Azure environments. You will work closely with Cloud Architects, Security Teams, and key stakeholders to drive a secure-by-design approach and strengthen overall cloud security posture.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, validate, and implement cloud security controls aligned to approved security frameworks and architecture standards
- Act as the SME for Cloud Security Controls across project reviews and wider Information Security teams
- Optimise and enhance existing security tooling for cloud control validation and compliance monitoring
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define and implement additional cloud assessment frameworks and remediation processes
- Produce and maintain governance documentation, standards, and operating procedures
- Translate technical security risks into business impact for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Conduct cloud security reviews, risk assessments, and remediation planning across projects and operational environments
Required Experience & Skills
- 5+ years' hands-on experience in Cloud Security with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure
- Proven experience designing and implementing secure Azure architectures and controls
- Strong knowledge of Azure security services and cloud-native security principles
- Deep understanding of:
- IAM
- Conditional Access
- PIM
- MFA
- Privileged Access Security
- Experience with Azure network security including:
- VNETs
- NSGs / ASGs
- Peering
- VPN / ExpressRoute
- Experience with:
- Azure Key Vault
- Encryption & Key Rotation
- Secrets Management
- Familiarity with container security and cloud-native security patterns
- Experience using:
- Microsoft Defender for Cloud
- Palo Alto Prisma Cloud
- Strong understanding of compliance frameworks including:
- NIST
- ISO 27001
- SOC 2
- GDPR
- Relevant certifications such as:
- AZ-500
- CCSP
- Azure Solutions Architect Expert (Desirable)
Preferred Experience
- Experience working within regulated industries such as Financial Services or Insurance
- Certifications including CISSP, CISM, or CRISC
- Exposure to additional cloud platforms (AWS / GCP)
- Experience working within multinational organisations
