Location: Hybrid – London (On‑site as required)
We are seeking an experienced AV Meeting Support Engineer to join a leading Financial Services organisation on an initial 6-month contract. This is a hands‑on role supporting enterprise audio-visual technologies across meeting rooms, boardrooms, collaboration spaces and executive environments, ensuring a seamless user experience for both onsite and hybrid meetings.
You’ll work closely with IT Support, Infrastructure and Workplace Technology teams to deliver first‑class meeting room support, proactively maintain AV equipment, troubleshoot technical issues, and support the rollout of new collaboration technologies across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day‑to‑day support for meeting rooms, boardrooms and collaboration spaces.
- Configure, maintain and troubleshoot audio‑visual equipment including displays, cameras, microphones, speakers and control systems.
- Support Microsoft Teams Rooms and other unified communications platforms.
- Provide white‑glove support for executive meetings, board meetings and high‑profile client events.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software and connectivity issues affecting AV services.
- Perform preventative maintenance, health checks and firmware updates across AV estate.
- Liaise with third‑party AV vendors and service providers to coordinate repairs and installations.
- Support meeting room technology deployments, upgrades and refresh projects.
- Ensure meeting room equipment is fully operational ahead of scheduled meetings.
- Maintain accurate asset records, documentation and support procedures.
- Manage incidents and service requests through the IT Service Management (ITSM) platform.
- Escalate complex issues where appropriate while ensuring timely resolution.
- Work collaboratively with Service Desk, Desktop Support, Network and Infrastructure teams.
- Participate in testing and user acceptance activities for new AV technologies.
- Deliver an excellent customer experience while meeting agreed service levels.
Required Skills & Experience
- Previous experience supporting enterprise Audio Visual (AV) environments.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Teams Rooms.
- Experience supporting Microsoft Teams, Zoom and hybrid meeting technologies.
- Knowledge of Crestron, Extron or AMX control systems.
- Experience supporting digital displays, projectors, presentation systems and video conferencing hardware.
- Understanding of audio technologies including microphones, DSPs and speaker systems.
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DHCP and DNS.
- Familiarity with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow, Jira Service Management or similar.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Experience within Financial Services or another regulated environment.
- Knowledge of Cisco Webex or Cisco video conferencing solutions.
- Microsoft Teams Rooms certification or equivalent experience.
- Experience supporting executive and VIP users.
- Experience with AV monitoring and remote management platforms.
