This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing Platform Engineering team working on critical infrastructure, automation, and security initiatives within a complex enterprise environment.

This role is ideal for a senior engineer who enjoys solving complex infrastructure challenges, improving platform security, and delivering robust automation across large-scale Linux environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Remediate security vulnerabilities across infrastructure and automation platforms.
  • Design, develop, and implement secure, scalable, and maintainable code.
  • Integrate vendor, open-source, and internally developed technologies into enterprise infrastructure.
  • Develop and maintain automation using Python.
  • Enhance CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment validation.
  • Create and execute test plans for infrastructure and security-related changes.
  • Validate complex platform changes within lab and pre-production environments before release.
  • Collaborate with Infrastructure, Security, Operations, and Application teams to deliver production-ready solutions.
  • Participate in technical design discussions, code reviews, and continuous platform improvements.
  • Required Experience
  • Strong Linux systems engineering and administration experience.
  • Experience working within large-scale distributed infrastructure environments.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD, release automation, and automated testing.
  • Experience with vulnerability remediation, secure coding, and infrastructure hardening.
  • Ability to develop robust validation, testing, and deployment strategies.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across Linux, networking, automation, and infrastructure services.
  • Experience supporting critical production platforms.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work across multiple technical teams.
  • Infrastructure as Code tools such as Ansible, Salt Stack, or similar.
  • VMware ESXi, virtualisation, or private cloud platforms.
  • Security scanning, vulnerability management, compliance, or audit experience.
