We are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant Level 3 or a SEND Intervention Coach to join the Inclusion team to work under the guidance of the Strategic SEND Lead, Senior Leadership Team and teaching colleagues to raise achievement and progress academically and socially for learners with SEND. One vacancy. The successful candidate will be appointed based on the skills, experience, and strengths they bring, with the final appointment reflecting both the department's needs and the position that best aligns with the candidate’s expertise. You must be able to interact well with learners and teachers, demonstrating mutual trust and respect. We are seeking an individual who can positively contribute to the team and who is committed to supporting, inspiring, and engaging learners to achieve the best possible outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Teaching Assistant Level 3: must hold an NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
  • SEND Intervention Coach: must be educated to a degree level and demonstrate skills and passion to positively impact learners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Year 11 learners to achieve strong GCSEs and make complex texts accessible to Year 7 learners at KS1 levels.
  • Build true partnerships with parents, acting as the first point of contact for parents needing support.
  • Work in a fast‑paced environment, consistently producing high‑quality work.
  • Provide excellent pastoral care.
  • Use IT confidently and challenge colleagues to achieve high standards.
  • Develop rapport with learners and engage them in reading at GCSE level.
