Waiting lists for neurodiversity assessments are far too long. I’m recruiting for a company building tools for the clinicians delivering them, with the aim of ending those waiting lists.
They need an SRE to take ownership of the infrastructure and production systems behind it all. You’ll be handling sensitive patient information, so keeping things secure, reliable and available matters quite a bit.
Traffic can spike at odd times so your observability needs to be on point and pointed at the right things.
This is an early stage start-up with all that entails!
The work:
- Building and improving AWS infrastructure.
- Owning deployment, monitoring, alerting and incident response.
- Protecting patient data through encryption, access controls and sensible security decisions.
- Working with engineers and clinicians to make sure the systems do what people need them to.
There’s no dedicated platform team to hand things over to. You’ll need to be comfortable getting stuck in and making decisions yourself.
You’ll need:
- 10+ years’ relevant experience, including responsibility for business-critical production systems.
- Strong AWS and Python experience, plus a good grasp of React, TypeScript and Auth0.
- Solid API and database knowledge.
- Experience protecting sensitive data and spotting security risks before they become incidents.
- Terraform/CDK, healthcare systems and compliance experience would all be useful.
This is a job where you're doing real good for people and you get to play with APIs - what's not to love?
