Our client is a global IoT connectivity provider, enabling businesses to deploy, connect, secure and manage IoT devices at scale. Through market-leading eSIM/eUICC technology, they give customers access to 600+ networks across 150+ countries via a single IoT SIM, combining cellular connectivity with device lifecycle management on one platform. The business works with ambitious companies across energy, e-mobility, manufacturing, transportation, retail and healthcare to help them deploy faster, reduce cost and simplify operations.
We're looking for a Presales Consultant to sit between the sales and technical teams β someone who can quickly get under the skin of a customer's connectivity challenge, translate the platform into a solution that solves it, and support the sales team through the technical stages of the deal cycle. This is a great opportunity for someone from an IoT, M2M or mobile/connected devices background who wants to move closer to the commercial side of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with Account Executives throughout the sales cycle, owning the technical narrative from discovery through to close.
- Translate customer requirements into tailored connectivity and device management solutions.
- Deliver product demonstrations, technical presentations and proof-of-concept work for prospective customers.
- Respond to RFPs/RFIs and technical questionnaires with accurate, compelling technical input.
- Work with multi-carrier cellular connectivity (3G/4G/5G, LTE-M, NB-IoT, Cat-M) and eSIM/eUICC concepts to answer customer questions with credibility.
- Act as the technical point of contact during pilots and early-stage deployments, handing over cleanly to delivery/customer success.
- Stay current on IoT connectivity trends (2G/3G sunsetting, 5G, eSIM adoption, connectivity management platforms) to keep the sales team's positioning sharp.
- Feed customer and market insight back into product and marketing teams.
Skills & Experience
- Background in IoT, M2M, mobile network/connected devices or telecoms connectivity β either technical, presales or solutions engineering in nature.
- Comfortable working with SIM/eSIM technology, cellular network fundamentals and connectivity management platforms.
- Experience supporting a sales team through technical presentations, demos or proof-of-concept delivery.
- Strong communicator, able to flex between technical detail (for engineering stakeholders) and business value (for commercial stakeholders).
- Confident running discovery conversations and translating requirements into a solution design.
What We're Looking For
- Someone technically credible but genuinely commercially minded β this isn't a back-office engineering role.
- A self-starter comfortable working cross-functionally with sales, engineering and customer success.
- Someone happy to travel for customer meetings and occasional on-site presales work.
Desirable Skills
- Prior experience at a connectivity provider, MVNO, telecoms operator or IoT device management vendor.
- Exposure to industrial IoT verticals β fleet/asset tracking, energy & utilities, manufacturing or connected health.
- Familiarity with API-driven platforms and integration work in a connectivity or device management context.
