Infrastructure Engineer – Cloud Migration Focus
An established business is entering a pivotal phase in its IT transformation and is looking to hire an experiencedInfrastructure Engineer to help lead its journey to the cloud.
Working as part of a team of 6, you’ll play a hands-on role in a large-scale cloud migration project that is just beginning. Around 60–70% of the estate will be moved into Azure, and we\’re looking for someone who has been through this process before — ideally taking ownership of specific, repeatable tasks and demonstrating technical leadership throughout.
This is a broad role blendingBAU support with project delivery , working across on-prem and Azure environments. You’ll be expected to get involved in more complex tasks — such as setting up VPN tunnels and configuring permissions from scratch — and will work closely with the wider business to influence technical decisions in a commercially smart way.
We’re looking for:
- Strong background inon-prem infrastructure (e.g. VMware, Veeam)
- Deep hands-onAzure experience
- Proven experience delivering or leadingcloud migration projects
- Understanding ofautomation and scripting
- Confidence handlingproject and BAU work in a fast-paced environment
- Apositive, proactive mindset , with the ability to make business-aware technical decisions
- Willingness to be part of a1-in-6 on-call rotation (phone support 24/7)
Experience around DevOps or Azure automation would be a bonus, but we’re open to someone who is keen to upskill in this area.
