Location: Glasgow
Shift Rotation:
- Early: Mon – Thu (0600 – 1400); Fri (0600 – 1300)
- Back: Mon – Thu (1400 – 2200); Fri (1400 – 2100)
- Night: Mon – Thu (2200 – 0600); Fri (2200 – 0500)
Nine Twenty Engineering & Manufacturing are proud to be working with Walker Precision Engineering to find a CNC/Manual Grinder to work with them in their Cambuslang site.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee machinery set-up and operate machines
- Loading materials and unloading finished products
- Adjust machine settings as required
- Follow technical drawings working to customer tolerances
- Carefully follow procedures and safety guidelines, including company procedures, operating standards, and process documentation
- Maintain an accurate log of production and equipment problems, adjustments, and repairs
- Machine inspections for mechanical or safety issues
- Ensure machines are well stocked with tooling and material to ensure limited downtime
- Safety focus to ensure themselves and others are safe around operational machinery
- Flexibility to support production requirements during busier periods
Requirements:
- Time served Grinder / Engineer
- Experience in manual / CNC Grinding on both surface and cylindrical grinding (Jones and Shipman machines)
- Ability to read technical drawings
- Experience of working to high quality standards on precision components
- Knowledge of safety and manufacturing regulations and procedures
