Nine Twenty Engineering & Manufacturing are delighted to continue our partnership with a leading process manufacturer based on the Isle of Skye. We’re supporting them in the search for a hands-on, detail-focused Project Manager to lead the transformation of their engineering stores function - bringing structure, efficiency, and long-term value to a key area of the business.
About the Role: This is a unique project opportunity for someone with strong organisational skills and a practical mindset. You’ll take the lead in reshaping how engineering parts, tools, and materials are stored, accessed, and managed - creating smarter systems that support maintenance, production, and project teams.
You’ll:
- Lead a full review and refresh of the engineering stores layout and systems
- Organise, catalogue, and implement best practice in stock management – recording via CMMS
- Liaise with engineers, maintenance, and project teams to understand needs
- Prioritise high-use and critical spares to ensure easy access and traceability
- Help drive improvements in safety, efficiency, and reliability
- Use manual handling tools (e.g. forklift) when required - training can be provided
Experience required:
- A highly organised individual with a strong sense of ownership and initiative
- Experience working in or around engineering, technical spares, or manufacturing environments
- Good knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical parts and components
- Hands-on, proactive approach to physical tasks and systems development
- Comfortable working independently while keeping the wider team informed
