Nine Twenty Engineering & Manufacturing is working with a leading manufacturer of precision components and we are looking for a CNC Engineer with experience in setting up, programming and operating 4 Axis Horizontal or 5 Axis Milling machines.
Responsibilities
- Set up, program, and operate CNC 4 axis horizontal or 5 axis milling machines to produce high-precision components.
- Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to ensure accurate production.
- Monitor machine performance, making necessary adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.
- Conduct regular maintenance and cleaning of machines to ensure their optimal functioning.
- Inspect finished products to meet the required quality standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve minor machine issues to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to optimize manufacturing processes.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment by adhering to safety regulations and company policies.
Requirements
- Proven experience in CNC machining, specifically with 4 axis horizontal or 5 axis Milling machines as time-served engineer or with relevant technical qualifications.
- Experience of working to high quality standards on precision components.
- Proficiency in machine programming and operation.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge of machine maintenance and care.
- Demonstratable examples of dexterity.
- Ability to proficiently use hand tools.
- Understanding of lean manufacturing and 5S process desirable.
- Specific knowledge of setting, operation and program editing of the following machinery is highly desirable.
