Monday - Friday role with no shift work! My client is a leading provider of mission-critical infrastructure solutions, specialising in the operation and maintenance of state-of-the-art data centres. Committed to ensuring uptime, efficiency, and safety in high-demand environments, they are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Power Engineer to join the team in Glasgow. This role will maintain two sites - Chapelhall and Glasgow City Centre.

As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and operation of electrical systems within the data centre. You will play a vital role in ensuring that all electrical systems are functioning at optimal levels to support 24/7 operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on electrical systems, including HV Cooling Systems.
  • Complete statutory and non-statutory maintenance of critical M&E assets.
  • Complete condition monitoring of critical IT assets.
  • Respond to issues in an efficient manner to maintain business SLA’s.
  • Complete and document fault finding as part of root cause analysis.
  • Provision IT services following an approved workflow.
  • Report and track issues via the appropriate management tool.
  • Keep management and other departments up to date at all times.
  • Promote and adhere to health and safety requirements.
  • Assist Operations and Security Staff as required.
About you:
  • Previous experience of working within a Facilities organisation would be a good fit for this role.
  • Electrical Qualifications: HND Electrical Engineering.
  • Professional Certification: 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification.
  • Experience: Proven experience in electrical maintenance within a critical environment, such as a data centre, hospital, or industrial setting.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of HV / Cooling / Air Con.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
  • IT Skills: Familiarity with BMS (Building Management Systems) and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
