Nine Twenty Engineering & Manufacturing are continuing to support our client who are looking for a Packaging Technologist to join their team permanently. You wonβt be tied to just one brand β instead, youβll manage development projects across multiple lines, working closely with marketing, operations, and external suppliers to ensure packaging is fit-for-purpose, commercially viable, and technically sound.
With an exciting new phase of development underway, the successful candidate will help drive complex packaging projects forward, particularly focusing on components such as glass, labels, closures, rigid boxes, and more.
- Lead the delivery of new product development projects, managing packaging activities from start to finish - across the portfolio and brands.
- Provide technical packaging expertise to Marketing, Operations and Supply Chain Teams.
- Act as the first point of contact for technical support to production, quality, and engineering teams.
- Manage packaging specifications, oversee artwork approvals, and ensure compliance with quality and operational requirements.
- Lead and participate in continuous improvement and efficiency projects.
- Support the technical packaging specification management system.
- Strong technical grounding in packaging β especially across multiple components and materials.
- Previous experience working in NPD/technical packaging roles β spirits or FMCG preferred but other industries considered.
- Experience working with SAP, Adobe, or Monday.com or similar project management tools.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
