We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Reliability Engineer with a strong background in Controls and Automation to join our dynamic team at Bellshill. The role is critical to ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our manufacturing operations by driving proactive maintenance strategies, implementing continuous improvement initiatives, and leading the integration of advanced automation technologies. You'll have the overall aim of improving plant reliability with focus on obsolescence of our existing technology and replacement with new. You'll also support the Bottling Team Leaders in the leadership and development of the Maintenance team.
What you’ll be doing:
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance ways of working to increase the reliability of controls and automation equipment.
- Create detailed I/O lists and wiring diagrams for current installations to improve troubleshooting losses.
- Create a plan for replacement of obsolete electrical components across bottling asset.
- Lead reliability projects focussed on instrumentation and automation systems including, PLCs, SCADA, HMI’s and operational IT networks.
- Introduce new technology to production to improve performance and work closely with projects team to improve system integration.
- Provide day to day technical support for the team leaders and technicians. Act as the lead co-ordinator for escalating maintenance or breakdown support.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical or automation field is desirable but not essential.
- 5+ Years experience in manufacturing environment with a strong working knowledge of controls and automation standards and systems.
- Fluent in PLC programming languages (e.g. Siemens, B&R and Allen Bradley).
- Qualified to minimum HNC/HND level in an Engineering discipline.
- Previous knowledge gained within an RCM driven environment.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety and Continuous improvement techniques.
- Knowledge and experience of all relevant technical aspects within a FMCG environment.
- Proven leader who can set objectives, performance manage a team and develop individuals to achieve their maximum potential.
