Nine Twenty Engineering & Manufacturing are proud to continue our partnership with a long-standing manufacturing client based on the Isle of Skye. We’re seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to take on a hands-on leadership role within their production site. Working alongside the Maintenance Manager - this is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong mechanical knowledge, a proactive attitude, and solid people skills to step into a pivotal position supporting the day-to-day running of the site.

This role will suit someone with a manager’s mindset – confident making decisions, prioritising under pressure, and leading by example – while still being happy to roll up their sleeves when needed.

The Role:

  • You’ll support the Maintenance Manager across all aspects of maintenance operations, including:
  • Job planning and task prioritisation in a dynamic factory environment
  • Coordinating internal engineers and external contractors
  • Troubleshooting and hands-on support for mechanical (and ideally electrical) systems
  • Maintaining records via the CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System)
  • Championing safe working practices and leading by example
  • Deputising for the Maintenance Manager when required

Experience required:

  • Experience in an industrial, production, or manufacturing setting
  • Solid understanding of Mechanical Systems (and ideally some electrical skills)
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing competing priorities
  • Strong communication and leadership skills – you’ll be the go-to person on site
  • Health, safety & environmental awareness – risk assessment experience essential
  • Good computer literacy for managing documentation and communication
