Nine Twenty Engineering and Manufacturing are working with a leading fabrication company specialising in structural steel for a variety of sectors, to find an experienced Plater/Fabricator to join the team in Lanarkshire.
Responsibilities
- Install secondary steel structures in accordance with drawings and specifications
- Fit and secure flooring systems, handrails, and associated components
- Ensure all installations meet quality and safety standards
- Work effectively as part of a site team to meet project deadlines
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean working environment
Requirements
- Proven experience as a steel erector, structural installer, or similar role in construction
- Experience working with cranes, lifting equipment, and rigging operations
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and steelwork plans
- Familiarity with bolting, welding, and alignment procedures
- High school diploma or equivalent (essential)
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Steel Erecting, Structural Steelwork, or a related construction trade (preferred)
- Valid CSCS card (Construction Skills Certification Scheme)
- CPCS, NPORS, or other relevant plant/lifting operation certificates (advantageous)
- Working at Height and Manual Handling certifications (preferred)
