Nine Twenty Engineering & Manufacturing are delighted to support our client in recruiting an Engineering Team Leader to join their high-performing engineering team at a leading FMCG manufacturing site in Edinburgh. This is an exciting leadership opportunity for an experienced engineering professional to drive performance, reliability, and continuous improvement while fostering a collaborative and safe working culture.

The Role:

As an Engineering Team Leader, you will:

  • Lead and develop a team of 5 engineers to ensure optimal plant performance.
  • Work closely with Operations to foster a one-team approach across the shift.
  • Deliver against key site KPIs, driving efficiency and reliability.
  • Manage all aspects of HR for your team, including return-to-work processes, 1-to-1s, and performance management.
  • Identify skills gaps and implement development plans.
  • Ensure all maintenance tasks are completed and CMMS is updated.
  • Champion safety and compliance, ensuring a safe working environment.

What You’ll Need:

  • HND or higher in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
  • Proven leadership experience managing an engineering team within an FMCG or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience using continuous improvement tools (e.g., TPM).
  • Strong background in CMMS & Microsoft Office (Excel expertise required).
  • Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and influencing skills.
