Nine Twenty Engineering & Manufacturing are working with a leading FMCG company to find an experienced Engineering Planner to join their team in West Lothian.
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end planning and scheduling of preventive, planned and corrective maintenance activities, ensuring work is optimised, prioritised and scheduled at least one week in advance where practicable.
- Develop, maintain and continuously improve high quality maintenance plans, including accurate labour, materials, tooling, permits and operational requirements.
- Build and maintain a credible, achievable weekly maintenance schedule aligned with the site priorities, labour availability and operational constraints.
- Lead the weekly scheduling process ensuring clear communication, challenge commitment from engineering, operations and key stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate, complete and reliable CMMS (CARL) data, including work orders, task lists, asset care plans, BOM’s and maintenance history.
- Act as the CARL super or key user for the site supporting standard ways of working, system compliance and UK CARL team member.
- Monitor maintenance compliance through agreed KPI’s, using data to improve schedule compliance, reduce downtime and support effective decision making.
- Ensure that all maintenance activities comply with health, safety and environmental standards, embedding safety into all work planning.
- Drive continuous improvement in planning and scheduling processes, challenging inefficiencies and supporting RCA analysis and improvement activities.
Requirements
- FMCG Manufacturing environment experience (not essential), preferably in same industry sector.
- Previous experience of operating a CMMS system.
- Experience raising and managing purchase orders.
- Have a strong background in administration / co-ordination.
- Excellent planning and prioritisation skills.
- Excellent communication skills – oral and written.
