They have built a strong reputation for quality and consistency, with a clear focus on delivering high standards across everything they do. As a result, they are looking to bring in individuals who take pride in their work and want to be part of a business that genuinely values quality over shortcuts.
The Role
They are looking to appoint a Building Surveyor to join a growing team based in Southampton, working across a range of regional projects. Schemes are varied, covering sectors such as Defence, Blue Light, Education and Housing, with project values typically ranging from £10k through to £3m. You will be working across multiple projects, providing a full range of building surveying services including inspections, surveys, schedules of work and contract administration. The role will also see you supporting senior managers in their day-to-day activities, while taking responsibility for mentoring and developing junior members of the team.
The Requirements
You should hold a BSc (Hons) in Building Surveying or a similar RICS-accredited qualification, with a solid level of practical building surveying experience. A strong understanding of contract forms such as JCT and NEC is expected, alongside experience producing technical documentation including specifications, feasibility studies and reports. A good understanding of Health & Safety and statutory compliance is essential, along with strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively. Equally important is attitude; the client is looking for someone who is proactive, collaborative and keen to continue developing their career within a supportive team environment.
