The Company
Our client is a privately owned, well-established Building Services contractor with a strong presence across Bristol and the South West. With more than 70 years in the industry, they have built an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality mechanical and electrical projects across the commercial, healthcare and education sectors. What sets them apart is their culture. They have an outstanding staff retention rate because they genuinely invest in their people, offering a supportive, flexible and well-managed environment where employees are trusted, valued and given the tools to succeed. This is a business that takes a long-term approach, with a strong focus on work-life balance, professional development and employee wellbeing. The Role
They are looking to appoint a Mechanical Site Manager or Senior Mechanical Site Manager to oversee the successful delivery of mechanical building services installations across a range of projects throughout Bristol and the wider South West region. You will be responsible for managing site-based mechanical works from initial mobilisation through to commissioning and handover, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards. A significant advantage of this role is that you will typically be involved from the outset, working on projects from a clean starting point rather than inheriting challenging or recovering schemes. This allows for better planning, stronger coordination and a more structured delivery process. The projects are predominantly local, meaning limited travel and a far more sustainable work-life balance than many comparable roles in the market. Working closely with Project Managers, subcontractors, clients and the wider MEP team, you will play a key role in driving programme performance, maintaining site standards and ensuring successful project delivery. The Requirements
You should currently be working as a Mechanical Site Manager, Mechanical Supervisor, Mechanical Project Engineer or Mechanical Project Manager within the building services sector. Applicants should have experience managing mechanical installations on construction projects, including labour coordination, subcontractor management, health and safety compliance, quality assurance and programme delivery. Experience delivering projects within sectors such as commercial, healthcare, education, industrial or public sector environments would be advantageous. Strong communication skills, a proactive approach and the ability to build effective relationships with clients, consultants and site teams are essential. The Package
The salary on offer is typically between
£55,000 and £65,000+Package , depending on experience, alongside a competitive benefits package and genuine opportunities for long-term progression within a stable and growing business.
