What if your next move wasn't just another project?
Most Mechanical Project Managers aren't actively searching for a new role. They're busy delivering projects, managing teams and dealing with the day-to-day demands of the job. It often takes something genuinely different to make a move worthwhile. This is one of those opportunities. Our client is a well-established, nationally recognised Building Services contractor entering an exciting new phase of growth within the South West. Backed by a strong order book, ambitious leadership and significant investment in the region, they are looking to appoint a Mechanical Project Manager who wants to play a key role in that journey. This isn't a replacement hire. It's a strategic appointment within a growing team, offering the chance to influence projects, help shape the office's future and position yourself for further progression as the business continues to expand. The Company
Our client is one of the UK's most respected Building Services contractors, delivering high-quality mechanical and electrical projects across healthcare, education, commercial and public sector developments. What makes them different is the culture. They've built a friendly, collaborative environment where people enjoy coming to work. The team is supportive, approachable and genuinely invested in each other's success. There is a strong emphasis on doing things properly, maintaining high standards and creating a workplace where people can build long-term careers. The South West office is currently undergoing significant growth, creating excellent opportunities for ambitious individuals who want more than simply delivering projects year after year. The Role
As Mechanical Project Manager, you'll take ownership of mechanical building services projects from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover. Working alongside clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal teams, you'll be responsible for programme management, procurement, project delivery, client relationships, commercial performance and overall project success. A major attraction of this opportunity is that you'll typically be involved from the outset, allowing you to influence strategy, planning and delivery from day one rather than inheriting problematic projects halfway through. Projects are predominantly based across Bristol and the surrounding area, providing a much more sustainable work-life balance than many roles within the sector. Why This Opportunity?
Many contractors talk about progression. Few can genuinely offer it. With the office expanding and ambitious growth plans already underway, there is a real opportunity for the successful individual to become a key figure within the team as it develops. If you're looking for: Greater influence within the business A stronger platform for future progression A supportive and well-run environment Local projects with limited travel A business with genuine momentum Then this is well worth exploring. The Requirements
You will currently be working as a Mechanical Project Manager, Senior Mechanical Project Manager or Mechanical Contracts Manager within the Building Services sector. You should have a proven track record delivering mechanical packages on commercial, healthcare, education or similar projects, with experience managing projects through the full lifecycle. Strong communication skills, commercial awareness and the ability to build lasting relationships with clients and project teams are essential. The Package
Salary:
£70,000 - £80,000 Car allowance or company vehicle Pension Bonus potential Predominantly local projects Clear progression opportunities Supportive, collaborative team environment Long-term career prospects within a growing regional business For those who are happy where they are but curious about what else is out there, this is exactly the type of opportunity that's worth a confidential conversation.
