The client is a specialist turnkey construction business delivering technically demanding built environments across the UK, with core expertise in data centre, defence and energy infrastructure projects. They integrate design, engineering, procurement and delivery to create high-performing built solutions and trusted outcomes for their clients. The role involves leading and coordinating mechanical installation activities on site in and around Bristol. You will manage contractors, ensure mechanical works are delivered safely, on schedule and to specification, and liaise closely with project leadership, MEP teams and client representatives to maintain high standards of quality and compliance.
The requirements include:
- Proven site-based experience managing mechanical installation works on construction projects;
- A strong understanding of building services installations, ductwork, pipework, HVAC systems and associated mechanical services;
- Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, coordinate subcontractors and resolve on-site technical issues;
- A mechanical apprenticeship or relevant engineering qualification;
- Excellent organisational, communication and team leadership skills.
Experience within MEP, industrial, data centre or technically complex construction environments will be highly regarded, though all candidates with strong mechanical site management experience will be considered.
The package includes a salary of £55,000 - £65,000 per year (DOE - negotiable for the right person), commensurate with the responsibility and technical leadership required.
