As we grow, we are looking for brilliant Product Management consultants to join our existing teams and help lead our Product & Design Capability. We are looking for people with Lead or Principal level experience (SFIA levels 5 & 6), and this is a role for an experienced product professional across multiple industries or domains with 10 or more years’ experience.
You will be passionate about your craft and have experience in delivering business value through software solutions, following the full SDLC lifecycle. We’re proud of our collaborative Product & Design capability that consists of Agile Business Analysts, Product Managers and User Centred Designers and would love for you to be a part of it.
A key part of the role will be working alongside our Head of Product & Design to shape our capability and provide the business with Product Management expertise into our business development process, creating propositions and contributing to client pitches.
Due to the nature of our clients, we can be flexible with different backgrounds /experience and technologies, but we are looking for:
- Deep understanding of Product Management as a discipline, methodologies, tools and best practice.
- Digital and/or Product Operating Model transformations: Experience in helping clients transition from existing project or waterfall mindsets to product and agile mindsets. Proposing new ways of working and design product elements of new target operating models.
- Background in consultancy and comfortable working with clients who need a lot of help or on high profile initiatives.
- Proficiency in coaching both executive level stakeholders and Product Management teams.
- Ability to initiate new engagements, be the first on the ground and set the shape and direction of the work.
- Strategic thinking - ability to understand business context, user needs and the market situation in order to define a product vision.
- Leadership. Ability to drive the direction of the products and services within scope and lead client stakeholders.
- Advanced stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
- Experience in pre-sales and forming product responses to tenders for new work.
Useful, but not necessary:
- Agile delivery leadership
- Knowledge of both private sector and public sector (GDS)
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide Product Management consultancy to key clients, this can be fulfilling a key role for them, leading their product teams or helping them shape the way their organisation works and applying Product Operating Model principles.
- Be a key go-to individual within Nimble, working alongside the Head of Product & Design to grow and lead the capability.
- Strategic thinking – (strong understanding of why projects are being done)
- Ability to ask tough questions and push back professionally and creatively
- Confident at presenting at the senior executive level and explaining Product Management and the services we offer to potential new clients.
