Role Overview

As a Workday Extend Architect, you’ll lead the design, development, and deployment of Workday Extend and Built on Workday applications. You’ll work closely with our product team to deliver secure, scalable, and user-friendly solutions that integrate seamlessly with Workday’s platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of Workday Extend applications and integrations.
• Partner with HR, Finance, and business stakeholders to gather requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and deliver high-quality applications.
• Architect scalable Extend frameworks using PMD scripting, orchestrations, Studio, and custom components.
• Guide solution design discussions, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards, security, and compliance requirements.
• Mentor developers, conduct code reviews, and promote best practices in SDLC, Agile, and Application Lifecycle Management.
• Collaborate across teams to ensure seamless integrations and reporting.
• Stay informed on emerging Workday capabilities, SaaS trends, and technology design patterns to drive innovation.
• Contribute to internal communities of practice, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 3–5+ years of Workday implementation experience, including at least 2+ years hands‑on with Workday Extend.
• Workday Extend Certification strongly preferred; Workday Studio, Orchestrate, HCM/FINs certifications are a plus.
• Proven experience with web service technologies (REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, API‑first architecture).
• Strong background in integration development (EIB, middleware, or custom APIs).
• Familiarity with Workday business processes, HCM, Finance, or Supply Chain functional areas.
• Demonstrated ability to lead design sessions, manage stakeholders, and deliver technical solutions to production.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex ideas to technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Consulting background and/or higher education, government, or enterprise SaaS experience is a plus.
