Join Nikwax Ltd, an award‑winning outdoor business, as an Account Manager for the Northern Region. This role involves increasing sales and margins with existing and new retail customers across the North UK, including the Midlands and Scotland.
Responsibilities
- Increase overall sales and margins with existing and new customer accounts, building relationships and strengthening brand loyalty.
- Develop an in‑depth understanding of territory and customers, promoting how our brand, products and marketing materials can make their businesses more profitable.
- Collaborate with customers and the marketing team to provide consistent physical and online merchandising solutions.
- Train retail sales staff via in‑store training clinics and special events.
- Work effectively remotely and independently, prioritising time to influence sales growth and customer contact.
- Report to the Commercial Director on sales performance, forecasts, customers, competitors and market trends.
- Analyse customer account sales data, identifying opportunities and developing joint sell‑through plans.
- Plan and execute regular visits to buying contacts and retail stores; attend Nikwax trade and consumer events and local community events as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven territory sales management experience selling technical outdoor and/or sports clothing, footwear or accessories to Northern retailers, with a history of sales growth and new account acquisition.
- Good working knowledge of IT and CRM systems plus Microsoft Office, especially Excel and spreadsheet analysis.
- Passion for outdoor activities, energetic, tenacious, curious and eager to learn and progress within Nikwax.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, comfortable working independently or in a team.
- Proactive in identifying customer needs and opportunities, developing value‑based solutions and taking action.
- Current full driving licence.
