Overview
Daily activities will include handling day‑to‑day technology support operations across retail stores and corporate offices.
The role will involve representing the team on projects in cooperation with EMEA and global teams, ensuring technology equipment is up to date and managing technical debt, and providing end‑to‑end support for retail technology environments such as POS systems, payment solutions, handheld devices and store apps.
Responsibilities
- Image and configure Windows laptops and Apple MAC devices for new starters and replacement cycles, in line with business standards.
- Manage asset inventory, conduct stock audits and liaise with business leaders to keep inventory up to date.
- Support office re‑fits, upgrades and upgrades, and participate in technology transformation initiatives.
- Provide comprehensive support for POS systems, payment solutions, handheld devices, tablets, scanners, and store apps, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Identify trends in support and service requests to improve services and response times.
- Conduct regular operation checks and scheduled activities across retail and corporate environments.
- Collaborate with local business functions, EMEA headquarters, and global teams to align technology plans and services.
- Review open incidents and problems daily with the team, act as an initial escalation point for local business issues.
- Assist in quality assurance reviews of service partners, ensuring standards and global policies are followed.
- Communicate technology concepts and terminology to staff of all technical abilities to improve understanding and adoption.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of hands‑on IT professional experience.
- Familiarity with project management principles, ITIL practices and Agile methodology; experience with Jira and Confluence.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for client hardware (desktops, laptops, mobile devices, peripherals) and software/OS (Windows, mac OS, i OS).
- Experience configuring and deploying Windows 10 and mac OS devices, including i Phones and i Pads.
- Understanding of Apple i OS devices and A/V equipment such as digital signage, Zoom and related licensing.
- Knowledge of networking technologies (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, Wi‑Fi), server hardware, patch panels, cabling and initial device setup.
- Ability to work independently, structured, proactive, with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Willingness to travel to UK and Ireland stores as needed.
