Hyndburn is a great place to work. We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic person to join our award-winning Parks and Open Spaces section within Environmental Services. The Parks Service in Hyndburn has 11 Green Flag awards, the highest number for a Council in Lancashire. You will work throughout the borough performing gardening, grounds maintenance and other operational activities to maintain the parks and green spaces of Hyndburn.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out gardening, grounds maintenance and operational activities to maintain parks and green spaces.
  • Work throughout the borough as part of the Parks and Open Spaces team.
  • Contribute to delivering high standards of service as part of Hyndburn Council’s Environmental Services.

Qualifications

  • Horticultural background with at least two years’ experience in landscaping or grounds maintenance.
  • NVQ level 2 in horticulture or equivalent.
  • Current driving license is essential for this post holder.

  • As a Safety Critical role, you will be subject to drug and alcohol testing as part of pre-employment checks and at random intervals during employment.
