Overview
Summary Nijhuis Saur Industries UK & Ireland are global leaders in water treatment for a wide number of industries from food and beverage companies to holiday parks. Our mission is water with core ethos surrounding sustainable water re-use, energy, and resource recovery with a key principle of having customers for life. The Service and Upgrades department oversee various tasks within the design and installation process of treatment plants, from commissioning to service, optimisation and fault-finding. The role is a mobile position but based out of our Truro office with contracts across the UK.
We are looking for an experienced multi-skilled engineer with a passion to provide both preventative and reactive solutions in an efficient and sustainable manner whilst demonstrating a high level of customer service.
Responsibilities
- Undertake the role of multi-skilled engineer for industrial, commercial, and domestic wastewater treatment systems.
- Undertake scheduled and reactive servicing and maintenance of electro-mechanical equipment.
- On-site fault finding, repair and replacement of equipment that relates to the water, wastewater and sewage industry.
- Create detailed reports of completed works and recommendations of remedial works.
- Travel to maintenance or project based sites around the UK either independently or as part of a team.
- Preparation of timesheets, risk assessments, method statements.
- On occasions you may be offered to assist with projects overseas.
Required Skills/Qualifications
- A full clean UK driving licence
- Level 3 apprenticeship electrical engineering or mechanical engineering
- 18th Edition certified
- Ability to manage projects
Desirable Qualifications And Experience
- PASMA
- Wastewater background, all areas. An understanding of domestic, commercial, and industrial systems is desirable.
- Confined space medium risk top and bottom person
- Blue water card
- SMSTS/SSSTS
- First aid
Working For Us Means
- The salary is between Β£38,000 & Β£43,000 per year, depending on your professional experience.
- Company van and fuel card.
- Working hours based on 37.5 hours per week 8.30-4.30 Monday to Friday
- Overtime and on-call rota payments 1.5 weekdays 1.75 Weekends.
- Holidays β 25 days + 8 statutory days.
- Probationary Period β 6 months.
- Pension β Can join immediately or auto enrolled after 3 months β Employee 5% and Employer 5% via salary sacrifice.
- Eligible to join Private Healthcare after successfully completing probation.
- Enrolled in Group Income Protection and Death in Service (4 x basic salary) upon commencement of employment.
- Notice β 1 week during probation, increasing to 1 month thereafter.
