The Senior Quantity Surveyor is responsible for overseeing all commercial, contractual, and financial aspects of projects and operations. This includes managing costs, contracts, procurement, and commercial risk to ensure business objectives are met while maximising profitability and compliance.
Commercial Management
- Lead commercial strategy specifically on the Sizewell C nuclear project and other smaller projects across the business.
- Ensure robust cost control, forecasting, and reporting.
- Drive margin improvement and value optimisation.
- Review and approve commercial change control and pricing strategies.
Contracts & Risk
- Manage contract negotiation, administration, and compliance.
- Identify and mitigate commercial risks.
- Ensure adherence to legal, regulatory, and company requirements.
- Support dispute resolution and claims management where required.
Financial Oversight
- Monitor budgets, forecasts, and cash flow performance.
- Provide financial insight to support decision-making.
- Ensure accurate cost reporting and variance analysis.
- Work closely with finance teams to align reporting and controls.
Stakeholder Management
- Build strong relationships with internal teams and external partners.
- Collaborate with operations, procurement, and finance teams.
- Represent the commercial function in external stakeholder discussions.

- Proven experience in a senior commercial role.
- Strong knowledge of contract management (e.g. FIDIC, NEC, JCT, or equivalent).
