Nijhuis Saur Industries offers a Water Hygiene Engineer position within our expanding team in the North. We are an ambitious, growing company that provides both in‑house and external training for the right people, offering genuine future career development and progression.
Responsibilities:
- Temperature monitoring in line with ACOP L8/HSG 274
- Control Regimes
- Water sampling for laboratory analysis
- Shower cleans and disinfections
- TMV servicing, calibration and replacements
- CWST clean and disinfections
- CWST and water heater inspections and surveys
- Plumbing remedial works, dependant on experience and qualifications
Qualifications:
- Full driving licence
- Excellent time‑keeping
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Good basic understanding of ACOP L8 and HSG 274 Part 2
- Ability to complete paperwork and make recommendations from service visits
- Keenness to progress and undertake additional training
- NVQ level 2 or equivalent in Plumbing (essential)
- Pass an enhanced DBS check
Benefits & Compensation:
- Salary up to £34,000 per year, depending on professional experience
- Overtime: Monday to Saturday at 1.5×, Sunday at 2×
- Holidays: 25 days + 8 statutory days
- Company van and fuel card
- Probationary period of 6 months
- Pension: employee 5% and employer 5% via salary sacrifice, eligible to join immediately or auto‑enrolled after 3 months
- Private healthcare after successful completion of probation
- Group income protection and death in service (4× basic salary) upon commencement
- Notice period: 1 week during probation, increasing to 1 month thereafter
