Job Summary
The Role
We are seeking a Business Development Director – Leadership Development to drive growth across the UK and Ireland. This is a strategic “hunter” role focused on opening new logo accounts and expanding executive relationships by positioning NIIT’s next-generation leadership solutions.
You will report directly to the Regional VP Sales, EMEA and will be responsible for engaging senior stakeholders in HR and Learning to help them solve critical challenges such as building leadership capability at scale, enabling managers to lead through change, embedding leadership behaviors into daily work, and leveraging AI to accelerate leadership development.
- Responsible for developing and executing the strategic direction of key NIIT business development initiatives in terms of acquiring new customers and also expanding within large accounts.
- Responsible for full range of business development activities and account management, including but not limited to – acquiring new customers, development of named accounts and associated sales targets, lead generation (including cold calling/nurturing and lead follow ups), pipeline management, management of proposals and contractual paperwork, negotiation, and deal closure, growing existing accounts through account mining and taking the full breadth of NIIT’s services within the account.
- Develops and maintains business relationships with clients and partners to fuel NIIT’s expansion of services in the learning and development and training space.
- Lead generation and manage all aspects of the sales cycle.
- Generate, manage, and maintain NIIT standard pipeline opportunity targets in support of the sales objectives.
- Responsible for attaining monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales objectives.
- Responsible for identification of new services and expansion opportunities.
- Manage and develop executive relationships with clients and prospective clients.
- Manage proposal development effort, resource planning, and quality control in support of operating business units.
- Manage existing accounts (as required) to ensure client satisfaction and to proactively seek expansion opportunities.
Must be a self-starter, resourceful, and be able to effectively manage multiple tasks at any given time.
Educational Qualification
Mandatory: Bachelor’s degree; MBA / Master’s degree desired.

Mandatory: PowerPoint and Excel.
Behavioural/Soft Skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience
Minimum 10 years, Maximum 15 years.
