We’re looking for an Assistant ReUse Manager to support the running of our busy and unique retail operation, helping transform donated goods into vital income that supports the work of the Hospice.

About the role

Working closely with the ReUse Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operation of the ReUse Shop.

You will support in driving sales, maintaining high retail standards, and delivering excellent customer service.

You will also supervise a team of sales assistants and volunteers, helping to create a positive and productive working environment while ensuring strong stock flow and effective merchandising.

This is a hands-on and varied role, ideal for someone with retail experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and making a tangible impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of sales and income targets
  • Provide excellent customer service and enhance the customer experience
  • Supervise and support sales assistants and volunteers
  • Assist with stock selection, pricing, merchandising, and display
  • Maintain high standards of shop presentation and organisation
  • Support stock flow from FCC partner sites
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety and retail standards
  • Carry out cash handling, EPOS transactions, and administration
  • Deputise for the ReUse Manager when required

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

Experienced in a retail environment Confident supervising or supporting a team Organised with strong attention to detail Customer-focused with excellent communication skills Flexible and able to work in a busy retail setting Passionate about supporting charitable work and sustainability
