Nightingale Hospital is the only private mental health hospital in Central London, with over 30 years of experience in delivering specialised, evidence-based treatments in outpatient, day patient and inpatient settings. Our dedicated team of specialists are committed to the diagnosis and treatment of all types of mental health conditions, including eating disorders and addictions. Conveniently located, we are a two-minute walk from Marylebone mainline and Underground stations, and within a ten-minute walk of Baker Street and Edgware Road Underground stations. We are owned by the international medical group Orpea, delivering the full spectrum of psychiatric care, and high-quality care home and rehabilitation services across the globe.

The main purpose of the job:

  • Preparing meals for patients in the hospital, under the guidance of the Head Chef and Sous Chef.
  • To prepare, cook and present dishes in accordance with specialty.
  • Supervise and assist members of staff working with you.
  • Assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef to create and develop new dishes and menus.
  • Monitor portion and waste control.
  • Ensure you and your team maintain a high standard of cleanliness and food hygiene, meeting required quality standards.
  • Ensure the rules relating to health and safety are adhered to at all times.
  • Responsible for keeping up-to-date with hospital policies and procedures.
