Nightingale Homecare is looking for caring, compassionate, and reliable Community Care Assistants to join our friendly team, providing high‑quality, person‑centred care to clients in their own homes in Eastbourne and Hailsham. As a Home Care Assistant you will play an important role in supporting our clients to remain independent, safe, and comfortable in their own homes. You will build meaningful relationships with the people you support, providing not only practical help but also companionship, reassurance, and a friendly face when they need it most.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and support with dignity, respect, and compassion.
- Support clients with medication and daily routines.
- Assist with meal preparation and light household tasks.
- Help clients maintain their independence and wellbeing.
- Encourage clients to take part in hobbies, interests, and activities they enjoy.
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Help clients feel safe, valued, and cared for in their own homes.
- Monitor clients’ health and wellbeing, reporting any concerns.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Good communicator with a positive attitude.
- Reliable and committed to providing excellent care.
- Able to work weekdays and alternate weekends.
- A driver with a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
- Previous care experience desirable but not essential; we provide full training, ongoing support, and guidance to help you succeed in your role.

- Competitive pay of £15.00 – £16.10 per hour.
- 90p per hour mileage allowance.
