Do you enjoy trains, coffee, and Disney? Are you looking for a role where no two days are ever the same? We’re looking for a friendly, patient, and proactive Support Worker to assist a gentleman in his 30s to live life on his terms, with independence and confidence.

What the Role Involves

You’ll be supporting a kind individual who shares a love for:

  • Trains and model railways
  • Exploring coffee shops
  • Visiting zoos, theme parks, and the theatre
  • YouTube, Disney, and shows like The Masked Singer

Some days he’s excited to get out and explore; on others, he may need a little more time and encouragement. You’ll be someone who understands this and knows how to gently support him through the ups and downs, always respecting his choices. He has a diagnosis of Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA), which means everyday tasks can sometimes feel overwhelming. He might use delay tactics or distractions to avoid tasks. That’s where your patience and calm encouragement will make all the difference.

You’ll support him with:

  • Personal care and daily routines
  • Meal preparation and trying new foods
  • Household tasks
  • Planning and enjoying outings

Seeing his confidence grow and watching him accomplish things, big or small, is one of the most rewarding parts of this role.

What We’re Looking For

  • Someone who’s upbeat, adaptable, and thinks creatively
  • A UK driver with your own car and business insurance
  • Respectful of personal space and family involvement
  • Comfortable supporting someone with anxiety or PDA

This is a truly rewarding opportunity to support someone’s journey towards independence while building a trusting, supportive relationship. If you’re kind, reliable, and passionate about making a difference — we’d love to hear from you.

Why Join Dimensions UK?

  • Competitive pay & benefits (holiday pay, pension contributions, etc.)
  • A fulfilling role where you’ll make a real difference every day
  • Ongoing training & career development opportunities
  • A supportive & inclusive work environment
  • Join a passionate team dedicated to improving lives
