SafeChild Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Registered Manager to lead our Ofsted-registered, 2-bed therapeutic home in Warrington. This is a pivotal role for a manager who values a child‑centred approach. You will have full operational accountability for the home, supported by a committed Responsible Individual (RI) and a stable staff team, ensuring we provide a safe, nurturing, and "Outstanding" environment for young people (ages 8–17).

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Culture: Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of seniors and RCWs; promote a trauma‑informed and therapeutic care culture.
  • Ofsted Compliance: Maintain full regulatory compliance in line with the Children’s Homes Regulations (2015) and Quality Standards.
  • Safeguarding: Act as the Safeguarding Lead for the home, ensuring robust child protection procedures are always in place.
  • Operational Management: Oversee budgets, rotas, and recruitment while managing admissions and care planning for the young people.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain excellent relationships with Local Authorities, social workers, and families.

Requirements (Must-Have)

  • Qualification: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years’ experience in a management role (Registered Manager or strong Deputy Manager) within a children's residential setting.
  • Track Record: Proven history of achieving or maintaining "Good" or "Outstanding" Ofsted ratings.
  • Driving: A full UK manual driving licence is essential.
  • Right to Work: Must have the right to work in the UK (Sponsorship is not available).

Shift & Schedule

  • Hours: 40 hours per week (standard office hours).
  • Flexibility: Occasional evening/weekend work and participation in an on-call rota as required.
