The Role

  1. Leading and supervising your shift
  2. Case managing residents and liaising with families, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders to ensure that the best care plans are created and delivered
  3. Administering and recording medication
  4. Carrying out risk assessments
  5. Working alongside care assistants to support residents with daily needs, ensuring residents remain as active and independent as possible
  6. Working closely with the leadership team to develop services
  7. Providing a fun, inclusive, and professional approach at all times

About You

  • NVQ Level 3 in health and social care desirable
  • Well-organised, IT literate, and adept at allocating and delegating work appropriately
  • Proven ability to lead and supervise others
  • A good understanding of care planning processes
  • Experience in or willingness to undertake training on administering medication
  • A natural ability to help make the lives of others more fulfilling

At Winchcombe Place care home in Newbury, our dedicated team will help your loved one continue living a busy and fulfilling life.

Our purpose-built care home in Newbury opened in April 2014 and provides a full range of care services for older people, including residential, short-term respite care, and sensitive end-of-life care.

When you visit Winchcombe Place care home, you’ll be pleasantly surprised. Think five-star hotel rather than care home. We believe that living in a care home should be just as good as living in your own home – in fact, we strive to make it even better. Features include a hair and beauty salon, a coffee shop, a cinema, a library, a vintage-themed lounge, and an arts and crafts room for relaxing and activities.
