Youth Support Worker

Location: Yeovil, Somerset

Salary: £13.04 – £13.86 dependant on qualifications and experience

As a key part of the dedicated team, we allocate to every young person, youth support workers have a vital role in helping young people learn and develop skills for life. You don’t need any special qualifications for this role, but you do need to share our passion to help young people be the very best they can be.

What You’ll Do

  • As a Youth Support Worker you will work in an exquisite environment, supporting young people with community activities like horse riding, swimming, cinema, pantomimes, beach visits which enrich the young people’s wellbeing and community access.
  • You will also support the young people with placement assistance and enrichment to ensure they have a wealth of opportunities for the future.
  • Build relationships and provide emotional support during both highs and lows. Personal care will be required.
  • Complete essential planning and documentation.

About Lufton College

Lufton College has 2 sites across 40 acres of beautiful countryside. We support young people and adults, between the age of 16 – 25, that have autism with additional learning needs and associated complex behaviours across day, 38 and 52 week placements. Our college aims to enrich and support students as they enter this important part of adulthood. Through our college cats and mini farm, we use animal therapy to support our young people
