About the role
- Support Worker
- 21.75 hours per week
- Full UK driving licence essential.
- Lincoln, LN3
You’ll be joining the support team of “Ben,” an older gentleman living in Lincoln who loves his local area, enjoys sharing stories from his past, and has a great sense of humour once he gets to know you. Ben has travelled widely and is especially passionate about aircraft and airbases, he knows a lot, and he’ll happily share his knowledge with anyone curious enough to listen. He also loves music and enjoys having the radio on throughout the day.
Ben lives with dementia and is sight impaired, so he needs support with most aspects of daily life including personal care, medication, eating and drinking, and keeping his home clean. He uses a wheelchair when out and about but can walk short distances at home with support.
You’ll play a key role in encouraging healthy choices, helping with menu planning, and supporting him to remain active in his community. Because reassurance and consistency are important, you’ll need to be calm, patient, and a clear communicator.
This role is 21.75 hours per week, working on a 4-week rolling rota, including sleep-ins from 10:30pm to 7:30am.
About you
We’re looking for someone who is:

- A clear and confident communicator, able to offer gentle guidance.

- Reliable and values‑led, with a genuine commitment to great support.
You don’t need previous experience as a Support Worker. What matters most is that you share Dimensions’ values and want to help someone live life in a way that’s meaningful to them. If you’re shortlisted, you’ll have the chance to meet Ben, it’s important that you feel like a good match for each other.
