Support Worker Opportunity – Make a Difference with Dimensions UK!

Part-time: 24 or 30 hours per week

Are you passionate about promoting independence and enhancing lives? Join Dimensions UK as a Support Worker, assisting a young man in his mid-20s with autism and a learning disability. He lives independently, and we’re committed to ensuring a caring and structured environment.

Meet "Ben"

Ben is a creative and active individual with a love for Woodwork, crafting bird boxes & candle-making (sold at craft fairs!), Running—5Ks, marathons, even the Olympics! Community work, volunteering at a café & Long Walk with his Cavapoo—dog lovers encouraged!

Your Responsibilities

  • Promote independence—gentle reminders for daily routines
  • Support medication management—ensuring consistency & tracking
  • Encourage engagement—live cook-along & activities he enjoys
  • Be a steady presence—helping him manage anxiety & emotions
  • Strengthen family ties—nurturing his relationship with loved ones

Shifts

9 AM – 5 PM (four days a week) or 5 PM – 10 PM with a sleep-in until 9 AM. No support required between 9 AM – 5 PM on Wednesdays, Fridays & alternate weekends.

  • Own car (automatic vehicles welcome!)
  • Must love dogs—his Cavapoo loves making new friends!
  • A patient, understanding approach to support through challenges
  • Creativity & enthusiasm to encourage his hobbies & passions
