Support Worker Vacancy in Shepton Mallet

Full and Part time available

Pay rate: £13.13 per hour

Drivers required due to the location of the home.

Shift Patterns: These can vary throughout the week, with some flexibility, but an expectation that you will be available to work sleep-ins. For example: 7am - 2:30pm, 8am - 3:30pm, 9am - 4:30pm, 2:20pm - 10pm, 9am - 3pm, 4pm - 9pm, plus alternate weekends.

Located near St. Peters Hospital and just a 20-minute walk from town, our vibrant community awaits.

As a Support Worker, you’ll participate in activities such as swimming, bowling, cinema visits, exploring local places, and enjoying meals out. We also support maintaining relationships with families and friends. Our team supports six individuals with daily living tasks, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication management.

Key Tasks:

  • Support with shopping for clothes and food
  • Assist with emotional and mental health needs
  • Support with managing their own money
  • Encourage and help with housework, cleaning, laundry, and meal prep
  • Support with medication
  • Maintain written records using IT systems to update support plans, financial information, and health and safety records
