Cygnet Group are currently looking to hire a confident Learning Disabilities Support Worker with a passion for delivering outstanding care to join our team at Devon Lodge.
You will be working 42 hours a week, 12-hour shifts from 7:30 am - 7:30 pm, making a positive difference to the lives of the people in our care at Cygnet Devon Lodge. Devon Lodge is a specialist residential service for adults with autism and learning disabilities, who may have behaviours that challenge. We aim to provide a safe, comfortable and effective environment, promoting independence and community integration. Person-centred planning is at the heart of everything we do, based on each person's specific needs. We understand that consistency and continuity of care is important for the individuals we care for.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Offer enhanced care with a flexible learning approach for all the people in our care
- Provide guidance & encouragement through physical & emotional support
- Learn about individuals' specific needs & provide help in the most appropriate way
- Assist with medical & welfare needs
- Report on medical & welfare needs as required
- Safeguard
- Maintain a safe, clean environment for all
