Location and Details

  • Location: Sherborne
  • Hours: up to 37.5 hours per week
  • Pay: £12.27 and increasing to £12.52 after passing probation and obtaining a care certificate
  • Contract type: Permanent

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality care and support to people in the setting. This may include but is not limited to personal care, meal preparation, administering medication, support out in the community and housekeeping
  • Build strong, positive relationships with people, promoting their independence and well-being
  • Work collaboratively with the care team to ensure a safe, compassionate environment
  • Effective communication both verbally and written
  • Record and report any changes in the people's needs or conditions
  • Ensure confidentiality and safeguarding protocols are followed
  • To treat all colleagues with equal respect regardless of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage or civil partnership, pregnancy or maternity, race, religion or belief, sex or sexual orientation
  • To be aware of and to comply with all Encompass policies and procedures

  • Flexible to work a rotation of day shifts, depending on the needs of the service including alternate weekends
