Registered Manager (Children’s Education Services)

Contract: Full Time, Permanent – 40 hours.

Our services have a specific focus on individuals who present with high severity needs. We provide a broad range of specialist services including specialist education schools and colleges for both day and residential learners, residential care homes and therapeutic fostering services.
We are looking for a Registered Manager to work in an Ofsted registered children’s home at The Forum School.
The Forum School and Residential Home is a 52-week residential specialist school providing quality therapeutic care and education for young people with Autism, severe learning difficulties, challenging behaviour and complex needs. The children and young people that attend range between the ages of 11 and 19 years old.
We are looking for an enthusiastic Registered Manager to work as part of the senior management team and lead a team of hardworking and committed assistant managers and support workers. The role requires the Registered manager to register for two children’s homes within the school (either solo or dual registration).
The successful candidate will provide strong, strategic leadership to drive regulatory success. They will ensure our children and young people enjoy a safe and happy home environment whilst developing their life skills and independence under guidance and support of the care, therapy and education teams.
You will be able to demonstrate a highly developed awareness of safeguarding, team management and challenges associated with a diagnosis of Asperger’s Syndrome and other complex difficulties. You will also need to be able to apply the principles of care management and use your exceptional organisational skills together with a high level of accuracy, to ensure the efficient running of a successful care home.
Your excellent people skills will:
- Provide inspirational leadership to the staff team
- Offer compassionate support and encouragement to our children, young people and staff
- Work collaboratively with a Multi-disciplinary team, understanding competing demands of the different professionals.
- Develop strong working relationships with a the range of professionals to ensure the safety, wellbeing and best outcomes for the children and young people we support.
- Provide support and guidance to families.
Essential Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience within a similar role.
- Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management (Children)
