We are looking for an Assistant Psychologist to join our team at Cygnet Hospital Clifton. This role will be working Monday to Friday 09:00 to 17:00. Please note, we have two roles available: one permanent contract and one fixed term contract (6 months) to cover maternity.
Cygnet Hospital Clifton is a 25 bed specialist low secure service for men with personality related difficulties, who also present with complex mental health needs and challenging behaviours. The hospital is set out across two wards; Ancaria Ward is the admissions/ initial treatment ward, which offers a defined pathway through to Acorn Ward, which has a focus on rehabilitation, in preparation for moving on into the community or supported living.
Your Day-to-Day
- Contributing to assessments, scoring and reporting (verbal / written)
- Clinical formulation and implementing care plans for psychological treatment
- Planning, delivering and evaluating individual / group programmes
- Administration, audit, research and service development
Requirements
- Degree qualified in Psychology (2:1 or above) or equivalent BPS (British Psychological Society) Accredited
- Preferably experienced in health care and/or in an Assistant Psychologist role
- Passionate about learning and working as part of an interdisciplinary team
- Qualified to Master's degree level or higher in Psychology (preferable)
