Overview
The Cambian Group, the UK's largest provider of specialist services in education, mental health rehabilitation and learning disabilities, is looking for a dedicated, caring individual to join the company as a Specialist Occupational Therapist. Cambian New Elizabethan School is a day school that offers outstanding opportunities for boys and girls with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder, communication difficulties, complex needs and challenging behaviour.
Responsibilities
- You will work alongside a full multidisciplinary team including clinicians, care and Education staff.
- You will have opportunities to be part of the provision development and contribute to the improvement of the Occupational Therapy service.
- Working autonomously, you will provide quality assessments, reports and needs led interventions for young people and work with the school staff to embed sensory strategies across the environment.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Experience working with ASD client group
- CAMHS experience preferred
- A degree or a post graduate diploma in Occupational Therapy
- Registration with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) and RCOT
- Experience in providing supervision, staff consultation and training is required
