Nightingale Hammerson is an independent charity and a leading specialist in the care of older people. We have served the Jewish community since 1840. We have two care homes Nightingale House in Clapham and Hammerson House in East Finchley. Hammerson House Wohl Campus is a modern 116 bedded home near East Finchley Tube station with residential nursing dementia respite and palliative care services. The home offers a warm and comfortable environment with personalised care that centralises the needs of the residents with onsite therapists dieticians and a wealth of activities for residents to enjoy. Hammerson House has been rated as Good by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) in its first year of operation. As Household Manageryou will be responsible for ensuring that high standards of care are provided and building effective relationships with a range of key stakeholders. The Role Reporting to the Deputy Director of Care this exciting opportunity will take a dual role in providing clinical support to the Residents/Team and simultaneously lead the household. The ability to supervise and support care staff in all people leadership duties whilst striving to maintain the Residents First ethos and exemplary standards of care at all times is essential. You will be a Registered Nurse with experience in assessing the care needs and implementing care plans working within a regulatory framework (CQC). You will be passionate about caring for older people and have experience in providing care to residents living with dementia with palliative care needs. Often managing multiple requests at once youll be comfortable multitasking able to work on your own initiative unsupervised and where necessary working with other teams to ensure our residents are kept happy in their homes. You will have a cheerful compassionate respectful and caring approach and good communication and interpersonal skills. With an understanding of the needs of older people and the desire to make a positive contribution to the lives of others.
