About the role
- Male Support Worker
- £12.64 per hour
- Part Time – 20 Hours Per Week
- Costessey, Norwich, NR5
We are recruiting male Support Workers to support three gentlemen living just outside Norwich, in Costessey—close to the Longwater retail area, local amenities, and excellent bus routes. This home currently supports three men, ranging from their early 30s to older adulthood. Our goal is to help them live fulfilled and enjoyable lives both at home and in the community. The people you’ll support enjoy a wide range of interests including going to the cinema, visiting the park and garden swing, days out to zoos and Park Farm, swimming, nature walks, picnics, and car-related hobbies. Two of the gentlemen place great importance on their cars, so confident drivers are essential. You’ll also help them stay connected with friends at Wednesday clubs and maintain strong family relationships.
You’ll be supporting with:
- Encouraging independence with personal care – usually prompts rather than full support.
- Cooking nutritious meals and following food safety practices.
- Meal preparation and supporting a gentleman who has a SALT plan.
- Medication assistance.
- Driving the home’s Motability vehicles (two manuals and one automatic) to activities, appointments, and family visits.
A variety of shifts are available, including earlies, lates, long days, waking nights and every other weekend, with no sleep-ins and a two-week rolling rota.
